What kinds of dies do we use in the various finishing processes?  Rate it

During the manufacturing of the various products we may use several dies.
In the die cutting process we use a steel rule die, which behaves similar to a cookie cutter operation. The die is setup in the press and as the paper is feed through it, the combination of the pressure and the sharp rule allows for the "cutting" of the paper in various shapes (eg: pocket folder, door knob hangers etc).
For standard Embossing, Debossing, Foil Stamping, Foil Embossing, Foil Debossing, Letter Press Printing/Imprinting we generally use single level Magnesium Dies.
For more complex designs or logos we would recommend Copper or Brass dies. For sophisticated multi level embossing, debossing or for foil embossing/debossing combination effect we use Brass dies. Brass dies give you the best effect but is the most expensive of all.
